DS (FMIL) series damper control swivel ball joints are used in light-duty applications where the push/pull force in the linkage system is transferred generally along the centerline of the linkage itself. The ball stud provides some conical movement to allow for misalignment in the system. Female-Male inline type. Per SAE J490 type DS.
Material:
- Ball socket and Stud: low carbon steel, zinc plated, clear chromate treated.
- Buna N rubber disc (provides vibration-free operation).
Applications:
- Solenoids and engine shut-down kits
- in-line linkages under compression
- low cycling applications
Features:
- Available with an internal lock washer and jam nut. Add suffix “N” to the part number
- Can be used in the wide range of temperatures: -30°C ~ +120°C(-22°F ~ +248°F)
